Please do not attend the practice. If you do have Covid-19, you risk spreading it to our healthcare staff, as well as other patients. If you believe you may have Covid-19, please call our practice and advise the receptionist who will be able to assist you.
The Department of Health are enforcing strict criteria that needs to be met to be tested. This is partly due to a global shortage of testing kits. This includes testing for influenza. If we are unable to test you, please understand it is not a practice decision.
The government is allowing GPs to do phone consults for patients in isolation for covid-19 (as per the government guidelines) or who are classified as being in an 'at risk' group. The 'at risk' groups are people who are:
- over 70 years old
- of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent and aged over 50 years
- parents of children under the age of 12 months
- already under treatment for chronic health conditions or who are immune compromised

It is with sadness we have closed Total Health at Capricorn Coast - the practice at 8 Hoskyn Drive, Yeppoon. Our final day was 9th January 2020. Our two other practices (Total Health Medical Centre and Total Health at Emu Park) remain open, and the doctors who were working at Hoskyn Drive have moved into these clinics, as have our staff.
